Ameen Abdul is a renowned businessman, social change philanthropist, and policy advocate with extensive experience and interests in Finance, Aviation, Agriculture and Technology.

Currently his company Downlink Solutions where he is the chairman is a group of companies in Finance, Aviation, Agriculture and Technology.

He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Economics from the Prestigious IBB University in Nigeria and a Master of Science in Business Administration from the National Open University of Nigeria and he is a member of the Institute of Strategic Management of Nigeria ISMN (Chattered). He is currently a member of the Africa Governance Group of the International Federation of the Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies (IFRC).

He also served as a member of the Governing board of the Nigerian Red Cross Society. He was also the national youth chairperson of the Nigerian Red Cross Society.

As a testament to his leadership and expertise, Ameen Abdul was appointed as a member of the Presidential Task Force on COVID-19 by former President Muhammadu Buhari of Nigeria.

Global Impact

During the 10th Pan African Conference of the IFRC in Kenya, Ameen led his team at the IFRC Africa Youth Network to commit to the planting of 3.5 billion trees across Africa by 2030 which implementation have commenced as a commitment to environmental sustainability.
On the sidelines of the African Union Heads of State Summit in Addis Ababa in 2024, he advocated for the reform of the education and curricular systems across Africa.

He also led the team to Co-create a mental health toolkit called I CAN SURVIVE with the office of the AU Youth Envoy to address mental health challenges for youth in Africa.

He was a member of the IFRC delegations' to the 79th and 80th United Nations General Assembly in New York in 2024 and 2025 respectively.

Collaborated with the Ministry of Youth Affairs, Sports and Arts of the Republic of Kenya, on a Youth Connekt Africa mission where over 20,000 young Africans were present, and they initiated a ‘Youth Innovating a borderless African Renaissance’, for a borderless Africa
